Suitable for

Before service preparation

  • Avoid mopping or deep cleaning treated floor edges too soon unless instructed.

Anonymous Strathfield apartment flea case

After moving into a rental apartment, the customer experienced bites around the legs and ankles. The previous tenant may have kept pets, and activity was concentrated around bedroom carpet, a fabric sofa and hallway carpet. Carpet edges, skirting boards, the sofa base and wardrobe areas were checked. The customer was asked to vacuum thoroughly and hot-wash washable fabrics before treatment. Flea treatment was applied to carpeted and edge areas with aftercare vacuuming advice. Bites reduced noticeably within one week and stopped after the second week. The customer was advised that short-term activity can occur due to the flea life cycle, with review suggested if activity continued after 10 to 14 days.

FAQs

Do I need flea treatment if my rental had pets?

It depends on the lease and property manager requirements. Many tenants are asked to arrange flea treatment if pets were kept at the property.

Should pets be treated as well?

Yes, pet care is separate but important. Speak with a vet or pet-care provider about suitable pet flea treatment while the property is prepared and treated.

Why do fleas appear after treatment?

Some activity can occur as hidden life stages continue to emerge. Preparation, vacuuming, pet treatment and follow-up advice all affect the result.
